Goatherdess

 FROM OUR FLOCKS WITH LOVE

A woman standing next to a wooden gate, looking into the distance, dressed in vintage beige and plaid clothing, in a rural landscape with fields and trees under a cloudy sky.

From hearthside to glenside, our clothing is inspired by the landscapes and stories that shaped Jane Austen and the Brontes. Timeless silhouettes — never costume — are crafted for modern life, rooted in heritage, care, and the soft fibres of our rare-breed flocks.

Parlour to Glen Clothing

A wardrobe to mix, match, and truly live in.

The Dressing Room

Discover clothing that carries both story and substance, woven from wool and mohair grown, spun, and shaped in our studio on the farm.

The Dressing Room is currently closed as we prepare it for the next chapter of Goatherdess - Parlour to Glen - romantic pieces inspired by Jane Austen and Emily Bronte.

Scientist to Fashion Designer

I trained as a scientist, but a longing for change led me to fashion, the Scottish Highlands, and three Angora goats. Today, every Goatherdess garment is handcrafted on-farm, carrying the story of the animals, the land, and the care woven into each stitch.

OUR VALUES

FLOCK
We raise and care for rare & endangered sheep breeds and minority breed Angora goats on our Highland farm. Their welfare, longevity, and place in the landscape come first — always.

FIBRE
Their fleeces are gently transformed into yarns, tweeds, knitwear, and mohair fabrics, left in their natural shades or softly plant-dyed to honour the true character of the wool.

A black and white illustration of sewing tools, including a pair of scissors, a sewing needle, a spool of thread, and a measuring tape.

GARMENT
Each piece is thoughtfully made — slowly, to order or in small batches — shaping fibre into garments and collectibles designed to be worn, cherished, and kept.

EDIT
We do not follow seasonal collections. Instead each season brings a quiet edit - a new wrap, a different skirt colour, a subtle addition - designed to sit alongside existing pieces and be worn, layered and lived in for years.

RARE BREED WOOL

Our DK yarn is spun from rare-breed wool fleeces raised and cared for on our Highland farm. Left natural or softly plant-dyed, it honours the individuality of the wool while helping to protect endangered and minority breeds.
